What time do you use your computer everyday?

@ PJ - well I do also own a desktop, but my laptop is the most i usually use, because I can bring it everywhere, well but with desktop it is more faster to use.

Neng, you did not answer my question.. i asked you what is the brand of your laptop? is it good enough? what are the specs? how long have you have that by now?.. i am interested to know that because i wanted to buy a laptop myself..

Yeah, recently I am more active in here than in any other forums. I think it's good chance to get some prizes in forex trading. I am learning to trade in InstaForex so I wanted to get some addtional capitals from InstaForex.

guys after reading your posts here i guess your computers are so ready to explode lol :laugh: i usually open mine in the morning at 8am, then turn it off around 1 or 2pm. then turn on again in the evening. i love my pc so i give it some rest hours. :laugh: :smile:

you are so compasionate with your computer alice. me, well i am no other way. i clean them.. but i leave them open for quite some time.. my brother turn it on very early at 6am.. but i set it to automatic off by 10am. But my sister will open it again.. then when i come back home, I use it again and set it to turn off by 4am...So my computer has few hours rest..hehehe

so are you not thinking of buying another computer or laptop just to make this one enough rest since three people at home are using it. do you still have time to check for it's health by running virus or antispyware scan? i hope you do. :wink:

Of course I do. I have Avira antivirus, personal. spyware doctor. Then of course you need to turn off your "Autorun" to all drives to "no" so that virus that will run automatically will not really run automatically. It helps control viruses.

is this Avira antivirus also free like Avast? because that's what i'm using right now. i don't have the cash to pay for other software when there's one that's free of use. i have been using AVG before but the latest version doesn't work on my pc so i switched to other. B) im not doing that "turn-off autorun" is it okay?

Yeah, Avira is free of charge just like Avast and AVG. I ever used all of those antivirus and I like Avast the most.

There are many antivirus those are free in internet. AVG also have premium version and somehow I got a activation key for free in internet which bring me 5 years premium license .

omg, is that straight 9 hours? :wacko: spending too much time in front of the computer can really harm the eyes, you need to take some break neng. or at least move your eyes away for about 5 minutes every hour. :smile:

Yes, that's pretty long time that you spent in front of computer. But I think that was okay as long as you didn't see the monitor screen without any rests :D

If only computers can cry then they would cry... but they exist to be used... :) so we use them wisely. take care of them and remove virus if there are any. Also do not load so much programs and applications so that it would run smoothly.

hahaha... Maybe you're right because oftenly we used computer as our working more than human working.

Off course because computer is machines so it can't complaint to you hahaha...

well that only means that you're all being too harsh on your computer lol. :rolleyes: we have different ways of taking care of it like the hours letting it open but we have same in using anti-viruses and spywares. :smile: i guess you're all rich not worrying that it would breakdown and lose it because it can easily be replaced. :biggrin:

you are right Alice, we actually do that... i always tell my siblings to take care of my computer,tv, etc.. so that we can benefit from them for a longer period of time.. imagine, these stuffs are very expensive now...

Nope, I had only one computer. Sorry I made mistakes when I typed computers :) I had another computer but it has been damaged so I got the new one here :)

i'm the one maintaining our computer because the two others who uses it are working. and aside from that i'm being careful in downloading some files because it's not easy to take it to repair shop if something bad happens such as viruses. :biggrin:

are you not the one to fix your computer by yourself? in my case. i fix it myself... except if there is a major damage that needs changing of the parts.. just like when my power supply is not working... so i bought another power supply.. and also when my mother board was not working... so i went to the computer shop to check if they can fix the mother board, but still they can to u needed to buy new mother board.

i can fix it but not if it have major damage because my knowledge is limited as i'm not a technician. i'm afraid to experiment it might explode right in my face lol. i've been spending more time on pc now since i joined TGF. :biggrin:

you can actually learn basic to advance technical trouble shooting in the internet.. or you can look at in youtube... also in reviews and in forums.. you can always ask anytime in the web.. but dont expect abrupt answers... just try..

It's better to bring it to technician so you won't get higher troubles in your computer. It will be better if you bring that soon.
