Spyfall Posted August 9, 2020 Report Posted August 9, 2020 Hey there. Guys, I have the issue - I want to buy a car not expensive and used. I have some variants and I need to check them on any defects and issues somehow, but HOW? Quote
Calisto Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 You have 3 ways. Firstly, If you're buying from a dealer, they usually provide a report. Secondly, you can take the car to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Thirdly, you can pay 9$ and use vin check online VinInspect - I did exactly. I didn't want to pay over 100$ mechanic. And dealers always tell lies ( that's their job) Quote
BusterS Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 I would gladly help you but I don't know anybody who could do it. I wonder why you need this for. Suppose you get to know the car is clean. What are you going to do next? Quote
NancyRoadshow Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 Agree with you mister. Additionally the car must be checked for hidden faults, normally the best workshops are in NYC or L.A. The best way is to haul it there by car transport companies and don't risk. What if those vehicles have problems with steering wheel or brakes? Quote All is well that ends well.
lolapaluuza Posted October 25, 2020 Report Posted October 25, 2020 Hello! I suppose the best way is to call a mechanic but it will cost a lot. You can also look for some online consultation services, maybe you can use FaceTime or whatever while checking the car. Youtube will also help you! Btw, do not forget to change the locks after you buy it. I recommend this to everyone after my «new car» was stolen the next day after I bought it. You can visit the securelocks.net website, for me, they are the best service and I like their low prices and professional staff. Quote
Skald Posted November 10, 2020 Report Posted November 10, 2020 Hire a mechanic who will check it with you Quote
BrutusDidNothingWrong Posted November 10, 2020 Report Posted November 10, 2020 Hello! It depends on the company or the person you are going to buy it from. I mean, if it is a company that checks everything and gives you at least a year guarantee - you can be sure of that. If you buy somewhere on eBay or any other service, I would recommend you to call for an independent mechanic to inspect a car. By the way, if you are going to renovate your car - this article about topcoat f11 comparison could be useful for you. Quote
Lil Top Posted October 12, 2021 Report Posted October 12, 2021 Hey guys! What all-season tires are the best in your opinion? Thanks in advance for your answers! Quote
Alfredo Posted October 12, 2021 Report Posted October 12, 2021 Hey! In fact, when there is so much competition in the car tire market, it is very difficult to determine which tires are really the best and I am not an expert in this, so I highly recommend that you read this all season buying tires guide Thanks to this article, it will become much clearer to you which tires really deserve your attention. Davismark Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 You buy a car based on criteria like make, make, model, year and price to get the right car for your needs. Check out the whole car yourself. If you don't have experience in this, ask someone you know who knows about the car to come check it out, it's even safer to take the car to a repair and maintenance center for a more accurate inspection. Some other notes when checking the car: - Always inspect the vehicle during the day to avoid missing dents, scratches, rust and other details. - Check under the car, bonnet and interior for rust or traces such as weld marks, which indicate that the car has been rebuilt after the accident. - Check under the hood for traces of engine oil leakage. Check the amount of oil in the engine, if the amount of oil in the engine is low, it means that the car is not well maintained by the seller. - Check the oil filter cap for white foreign matter. If so, it is a sign that the engine gasket is broken, and you will lose a lot of money with this disease if you buy this car. - Check tires: wear, tire pressure... - Check that the distances between the serial parts on the vehicle body are even. Otherwise, the vehicle may have been in an accident and been refurbished. - Carefully inspect seat belts, steering wheel, instrument panel and function keys. - Start the car when the engine is cold. This helps you to spot problems like the car having difficulty starting or having a lot of smoke when starting the car. Quote
owenrules1717105891 Posted April 17, 2022 Report Posted April 17, 2022 So, you have decided to become the owner of a used car. How to buy a used car? The first thing any buyer should do is decide for what purposes the "iron friend" will be used. Also, when buying, it is important to consider other characteristics, such as the type of drive. The most relevant today are considered cars with front-wheel drive. They are easy to operate and cost significantly less than cars with rear and all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive is suitable for lovers of high speeds. Besides, RWD allows controlling the car in case of unwanted skidding. And these are just the basic rules when choosing a car! Quote
antracit Posted May 12, 2022 Report Posted May 12, 2022 You can get help from a car specialist. He will be able to diagnose the car you want to buy and identify all of its flaws and faults. I usually prefer to buy only new cars. They do not need diagnostics, but I still consult specialists and listen to their advice. I need to know the car's characteristics and advantages and disadvantages. I'm into motor racing. From time to time, I take part in street racing. At such competitions, I get a huge dose of adrenaline. Quote
