Well, it depends on a variety of factors. Paid traffic can be very effective for lead generation, but it can also be expensive. Referral traffic is generally less expensive and more targeted, but it can also be less reliable. The best way to determine which type of traffic is more potential for lead generation is to do a trial with each type and see which generates the most leads.

Paid traffic refers to website traffic that is generated through paid advertising campaigns, such as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, sponsored content, or banner ads. Paid traffic is typically targeted to specific audiences, and advertisers pay for each visitor or action (e.g. click or conversion) that is generated as a result of their advertising efforts.

Referral traffic, on the other hand, refers to traffic that is generated when a user clicks on a link from another website, social media platform, or other online source, and is directed to the target website. Referral traffic is often seen as more valuable than paid traffic because it is generally more targeted and can be more cost-effective. It can also be a good indicator of the quality and value of the content on a website, as users are more likely to click on and share links to content that they find valuable or interesting.

As someone new to this forum, I can see why you're curious about the difference between paid and referral traffic. Both types have their advantages, but when it comes to lead generation, referral traffic might have the edge. Referral traffic comes from other websites that link to your site, indicating that they find your content valuable. On the other hand, paid traffic can be a great way to quickly increase your website's visibility and attract potential customers. Paid search traffic: Traffic from search engine results that is the result of paid advertising via Google Ads or another paid search platform. Referral traffic: Traffic that occurs when a user finds you through a site other than a major search engine. A few times it might happen that paid social traffic would not show up in google analytics as it means that traffic was bad traffic, traffic that’s fake, or from a bot, google analytics filters out that kind of traffic as their search engine itself, doesn’t include that as points when ranking a certain page.
