Domain Days Dubai 2024 ended after two full days of speeches, networking, and awesome vibes! Check out my quick recap outlining the speeches that I attended. Dr Marwan Alzarouni and Afra Bin Fares offered insights about the Digital Dubai agenda, which includes developing future technologies based on AI, Blockchain, and CyberSec. They also invited companies to explore the benefits of coming to and innovating in Dubai. Mohammed Ismail Khamis Al Falasi Al Falasi also offered insights about .ae domain registration, which has passed over 350K registrations, and invited companies to partner. Christopher Niemi from Markmonitor explained the benefits for companies of owning their own TLD .brand and what’s the application process. Vaughn Liley and Kyrylo Medvediev gave insights about owning a .link domain. Tess Diaz from ITcom, Kamila S. from ICA, Selina Bieber from GoDaddy, and Natalija Japerte, also from IT.com, held a nice panel regarding women who are pioneers and innovators in the tech world. The first panel about doing business in the arab world had Bashar Al-Abdulhadi from KUWAITNET, Sami Ali from TRA Bahrain, Wahid Aziz from tasjeel.ae, Leonid Todorov from APTLD and Aboulfeth Hamza from Genious.net outlining opportunities that emerge in the ME space. The second panel was about selling premium domains. Adel alTerkait, Ayoub Kehel, Monte Cahn, Braden Pollock, and Giuseppe G. offered valuable tips about evaluating domains, determining which one has the potential to sell, and more. Next, Mark Ghoriafi, and Dave Evanson from SEDO, spoke about domain brokerage, buyers, sellers, and their differences. The final panel on the first day was about AI, WEB3, and new domains. Fred Hsu, Darpan Munjal, CEO at @Atom, Elias Rendón Benger, CEO at InternetX, and Tess Diaz, director at ITcom, offered tips and advice about what's next in tech. The second day of Domain Days Dubai started with a panel discussion of the UAE as a strategic gateway to Africa as an emerging market. Sandy Carter COO at Unstoppable Domains, a leading voice in technology, AI, and blockchain, spoke about bridging WEB2 and WEB3 domains and gaining both benefits. Hassan Al Lawati addressed the recent evolving changes in the landscape of DMARC, SPF, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, and recent attack trends. At 12:30, Monte Cahn started the digital auction, and we all witnessed the sale of domain names ranging from $1k to multiple hundred Ks to the bidders in the room. The last conf session was about M&As in MEA, during which Michael Osterlohand offered tips on expanding and purchasing hosting companies in Africa. After that, we went on a nice boat trip, where good food and vibes facilitated more relaxed networking. Thank you, Munir Badr, Ruslana Badr, Jason Nickerson, and James Williams, who did a great job as a master of ceremonies! You raised the bar for the domain conferences! hashtag#DomainDaysDubai -

Domain Days Dubai 2024 Travel Information Just a few days left until we meet in Dubai! To ensure smooth arrival & travel to and from the event venue, we have gathered all the important information & tips in this email. The nearest airport is Dubai International (DXB). Your flight will most probably arrive at terminal 3. If you arrive in another city (Abu Dhabi or Sharjah) its around 60-70 km away. The easiest and most efficient way to commute in Dubai is using the Dubai taxi service. All taxis in Dubai are metered and you can pay with cash and credit card (know your rights - your trip is free if the meter is not operated or if the driver refuses to accept the credit card). Taxi apps are available in Dubai, you can use Uber and Careem super app. You can even book a normal taxi via this app (Hala Taxi). The venue hotel is called: Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, located at the Palm Jumeirah Island. The venue hotel is located around 35kms from the DXB airport and the trip time would usually take 25-35 minutes. Google Maps link to the hotel. The taxi/uber ride would usually cost you around AED 110-140 ($30-40) from the airport. It will cost you less on the way back around AED 90-110 ($25-33). Dubai and the UAE are ranked among the safest cities on the planet. You can be out at 3am in the morning and no one will bother you. It's also safe to leave your belongings and feel comfortable anywhere you go. However staying cautious is still recommended. You can buy a local sim-card at the airport, there are a few mobile operators in the UAE such as du, virgin mobile & etisalat. Most offer a free sim to tourists. Credit cards (visa, mastercard, amex, union pay), Apple Pay, etc are widely accepted in the UAE, virtually everywhere. The UAE currency is UAE Dirham (AED) and it is pegged to the US dollar at the rate of 1 USD = 3.67 AED. Alcoholic beverages are available at all licensed restaurants and bars at hotels and other venues. Legal age is 18. UAE is a tolerant country. The majority of the population are expats and there are over 190+ nationalities living in harmony. The weather in Dubai is fantastic during the month of November. Its around 35 C during the day and 25 C at night. The sea temperature is 31 C these days - perfect for a dip after a long day at the conference! It gets cooler in the evenings with a fresh breeze. A light hoodie or a jacket might be needed but not essential. Here are a few tips to stay on the right side of the law: Refrain from using abusive words and hand signs with anyone as this can get you into legal trouble. Do not take pictures of other people without their consent. Local Emergency Numbers: Police: 999 Questions? Email us! We wish you safe travels! Don't miss out on this chance to network, learn, and grow. Get your tickets now! How can we maximize the impact of our B2C campaigns heading into 2025? Cyrus Digital founder and former Google Growth Partner Arian Ghotbi shared some crucial actionable insights at a recent Affiliate World event, taken from his years as a “Google Guy” and his subsequent experience scaling client brands. Most of the following tips are for scaling B2C campaigns, but first we need to establish where to start. And there’s really only one place for that. 1. Start With One Channel Instead of committing time, effort, and budget to testing and managing campaigns across multiple channels, it’s more effective to pick one channel and refine both your messaging and your targeting there first. Instead of running campaigns across Google, Meta, and TikTok, for example, Arian started with Google because of its ability to target B2C audiences precisely. 2. Spread Out to All Placements Once you’ve found a profitable channel and content angle, you can begin to scale by spreading out within the ad account. If you’re running Shopping ads on Google, for example, you can spread your content to other placements, such as Display, as well as connected platforms like YouTube. While the results might not appear immediately, the cumulative effect will help campaigns break through plateaus. 3. Go Broader After establishing your ads in all of the channel placements available, Arian recommends a broad campaign that leverages keywords and angles you may not have thought of before. In this case study example, Arian’s LED-enhanced bed client was able to discover multiple avenues that led to campaigns that have continued to exceed expectations. 4. Try Advertorials Combining Google’s precise targeting with the power of advertorials can lead to amazing results. Advertorials work best at the top of the funnel, as the image above indicates, because you’re able to connect with prospects without their biases getting in the way. You can engage potential buyers with a value-add content piece that addresses common questions or provides an element of comparison and doesn’t appear on your branded product page. With these assets in place, you can convert more top-of-funnel prospects and scale on Google because of the search engine’s stable demand for answers to those questions. 5. Feed Optimization Feed optimization is a series of simple steps on your ad platform of choice that the majority of advertisers, even big-name brands, fail to fully capitalize on. Features like product ratings, flipping titles, and CSS will put you ahead of the competition. Further, Arian and his team use a standard product title formula that ensures all of the important elements are included when you optimize your product feeds. 6. Seasonality Adjustments Seasonality adjustments are another simple tweak to scale campaigns successfully — but they require data. While it’s easy to assume that seasonality only applies to large time scales like weeks and months, it can just as easily apply to times of day or days of the week. If your product doesn’t sell as well on Saturdays, for example, but lots of buyers convert on Sundays, you can set parameters in your ads campaign to spend less on slow days and more when buyers are more likely to make a purchase. Affiliate World Cheat Sheet Ready to take your lead gen game to the next level? Join us at Affiliate World Asia, where the industry’s top minds converge to share insights, strategies, and opportunities that can transform your business. Don't miss out on this chance to network, learn, and grow. Get your tickets now! We have sad news this week — lead generation is dead. An FCC ruling finalized in 2023 will change lead generation as marketers know it in the new year. Lead generation and SMS robocalls are going away, but Connection Holdings CRO David Stodolak shared his plans for a pivot in 2025, and savvy marketers can make the same moves now — before it’s too late. Losing the Lead Gen Loophole The FCC ruling closes the so-called lead generator robocall loophole by establishing rules that state: Calls and texts from sellers must be logically and topically related to the opt-in notice they agreed to Numbers on the federal do-not-call registry are excluded from SMS “Clear and conspicuous disclosures” for one-to-one consent This last point might be the most impactful. Instead of opt-in language that authorizes consent for offers from more than one company on a page, marketers are now limited to asking for consent only for the business listed in the notice. This rule change is going to seriously impact marketers, lead aggregators, small businesses, and other industry stakeholders, but there are also opportunities to capitalize on as the lead generation market is in flux. The biggest winners in this change, David says, will be lead generation through Pay Per Call, which will still be compliant under the new FCC rules. To make Pay Per Call work in an increasingly competitive marketplace, however, you’ll need to follow a few guidelines: 1. Watch Your Money As Pay Per Call grows, you’ll need to monitor your call centers for accountability and quality assurance. Some call centers can roll hundreds of calls a day, and the value of those leads is not to be taken lightly. Ensuring that your teams are maximizing every opportunity is crucial in the Pay Per Call space. 2. Extend Your Net Longer payment terms can be extremely beneficial for scaling and sustaining Pay Per Call campaigns. Many advertisers will offer short-term deals like Net-30 or Net-15, but you can negotiate longer terms based on leverage from positive campaign performance or exceeding KPIs. 3. Retain a Good Attorney One outcome is guaranteed under the new FCC regulations: lawsuits. Law firms and government watchdogs will be zealously pursuing advertisers, marketers, and organizations that fail to comply with the new rules. And even if your Pay Per Call or other campaigns are on solid legal grounds, there’s a strong possibility that your successful lead generation will draw the attention of these entities. In this hyper-litigious landscape, having an attorney ready to respond and protect your campaigns will be essential to keeping your business going and preventing competitors from conquering your market share. 4. Monetize Aged Leads Now Aged leads and first-party leads that are still in your system need to be monetized as soon as possible because reaching out to those leads won’t be allowed anymore when the new FCC rules go into effect. Leads that don’t have one-to-one consent for their opt-ins are still valuable if you can reach them before the end of 2024. But the value of that data won’t last forever, and you’ll need to leverage it now as you prepare to pivot into the new world of lead generation. Affiliate World Asia is Nearly Here! Don't miss out on this chance to network, learn, and grow. Get your tickets now! This one’s about AI, but it was written by a human. (Probably.) How can we produce high-quality video for ads quickly and cheaply with AI? Systematiq.ai founder Rory Flynn has cracked the code, so to speak, on producing video assets at scale with AI workflows. In less than a year, he went from barely able to keep up with the needs of 90 clients to effectively serving more than 500. Rory shared the shift that made this possible, along with the processes he put in place, at a recent Affiliate World event, and guess what? We were there, and we saw the whole thing. Turning Data Into Creative The robust and systematized AI tools that Rory has developed with SuperSide, an AI-forward creative agency, make it possible to go from a creative brief to a first-draft video in seconds, not hours or days. They have created and integrated multiple AI agents in ways that make it easier to keep up with both the quality and volume that top brands expect. Rory’s team and SuperSide are turning out video assets for ads at scale with a four-step process. 1. Knowledge Graphs Knowledge graphs, which provide context and a structure for AI tools to understand real-world facts and their relationships, are used to train the AI agents that will execute the video tasks and provide quality control. For this system to work, each client will need a branded Knowledge Graph to maintain consistency and brand standards. 2.️ Agents to Execute AI agents can execute many of the video production tasks, but the key to getting usable results is to break down every element that you want from your video in granular detail. This includes lens type, lighting, composition, and other modifiers that professional videographers would incorporate in real-life production. The best way to do this is by reverse-engineering a successful output. If you’re creating a static image ad, for example, you can break that down into component parts like what the image should look like, what the copy should be based on the language and market you’re targeting, and so on. 3.️Integrations System integrations make it possible for each trained AI agent to work together. Again, by breaking down tasks into mundane or repeatable events that AI can handle based on your prompts, you can implement a level of quality control that gets first drafts to a usable status that can then be improved by humans. Integrating AI agents to perform each of these tasks, in sequence, based on Knowledge Graphs can drastically reduce creative output time without sacrificing quality. One agent can create images, one agent can create copy, and yet another can assemble the elements into a template. Rory recommends a tool like LangChain to assist with agent guidance and integration. 4. Coding Coding is the final piece of the process that ensures all of the AI agents can actually communicate. The connector language that Rory uses to get these agents to talk to each other is called JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), which is a standard text-based format for representing structured data. And if you’re not familiar with writing JavaScript code, don’t worry — ChatGPT can generate the code you need to connect the agents with a few simple prompts. Outputs at Scale We mentioned earlier that Rory and his team were able to use these processes to scale their client list from 90 to over 500, but other success metrics behind this process are equally impressive. For example, after more than 1,000 completed projects over eight months, they discovered that Brief-to-Delivery time for clients was 200% faster. Project hours were also reduced by more than half, and the revenue saved totaled more than $1.4 million. As AI tools shift from marketplace novelties to workflow essentials, mastering these tools and using them in conjunction to compound outputs will become the norm. And the faster you can adapt to this new normal, the more successful your creatives will be. Affiliate World Asia is Coming Soon! Affiliate World Asia is your ticket to affiliate marketing success!
