Hello Everyone, This story dates back to when I was just starting to run ads between 2021 and 2022. Today, I’m here to share how I’ve been working in affiliate marketing with a local affiliate network in Vietnam. Some of the experiences and advice may not fully apply to the current market, so please take this as a fun sharing session—and no harsh criticism, okay? A Word of Caution: If you come across training courses that ask you to register affiliate accounts for online earning and then charge you a fee, steer clear. I can confidently say that reputable affiliate platforms in Vietnam allow you to register an account completely free of charge. Currently, I’m doing affiliate marketing with Dinos. I registered my account by simply filling out the necessary details, and it was approved almost instantly without any waiting period. Pro Tip: After registration, make sure to update your payment information in your account, including your ID card details and bank account, so the network can transfer your commissions. Which Campaigns Do I Choose? I prefer CPS (Cost Per Sale) campaigns because they offer high commissions, quick approvals, and are relatively easy to manage. One campaign I focus on is MoneyVeo, which is currently a hot offer on the platform. Dinos recently increased the payout for the MoneyVeo CPS campaign. Not only are commissions higher, but the payout increases as the number of successful leads per month rises: 1-30 successful leads/month: 300,000 VND/lead 31-70 successful leads/month: 310,000 VND/lead 71+ successful leads/month: 325,000 VND/lead I also run a few additional finance campaigns such as VAY VND, Kim Ứng Vay, Crezu, Oncredit, etc. (listed here based on the ease of commission approval for your reference). How Do I Run Affiliate Campaigns Like MoneyVeo? When I first started affiliate marketing for financial campaigns, it was extremely tough and discouraging. I had little understanding of how to run Facebook Ads. Driven by enthusiasm and seeing others share their case studies, I jumped right into running ads with minimal preparation—except for my naivety and initial capital. Of course, I suffered heavy losses (Failure #1). I then went back to square one, learning about Facebook Ads from scratch. I recreated my fan pages, learned to set up ad accounts, consulted my AM at Dinos, revamped my ad content, and prepared banners. After multiple revisions, I finally got my ads approved. Despite this, I still lost money, as my ads weren’t optimized. Running traffic ads (click to web) for financial offers with a daily budget of around 230,000 VND (the default limit for new personal ad accounts) resulted in high CPCs, low clicks, and no conversions. Switching to Messenger Ads: A New Approach I decided to invest in a course about running ads through Facebook Messenger (I won’t name the course to avoid promoting it). After completing the course, I started combining Messenger ads with chatbot systems. Note #1: In basic terms, Messenger ads allow customers to click on your ad and open a chat box. From there, a chatbot with a pre-built script handles the communication, introducing offers and following up with customers. I started building chatbot scripts tailored to potential customers looking for financial services. After a week of running Messenger ads with a budget of 200,000–300,000 VND per day, I still faced losses but noticed improvements. The losses decreased over time, and the number of successful leads increased. Following advice from others in the field, I raised my daily budget to around 500,000 VND. Although I incurred higher losses initially, the trend quickly reversed. Unfortunately, after three days, my page was flagged, and my ad account was banned for violating Facebook’s ad policies. Learning from Failure: Adjusting and Scaling After repeated setbacks, I felt demoralized but also motivated to keep going, as I saw gradual improvements. I created new ad accounts and fan pages, hoping to scale once my original page was reinstated. Gradually, my daily losses turned into small profits, and I broke even after a month. In the second month, my daily profits ranged from 200,000 to 300,000 VND and steadily increased. Note #2: There are two ways to scale: Increase the budget for a single page. Increase the number of pages while keeping the budget per page constant. I opted for the second method, spreading the budget across multiple pages for greater stability. I paused scaling after reaching six pages, with each page running at a daily budget of 500,000 VND. My daily profits stabilized at around 30% of the total budget, roughly 900,000 VND. Key Takeaways Losses are inevitable at the start. No beginner makes immediate profits without prior experience. Patience is key. Don’t quit easily when faced with negative numbers. Stick it out and aim to recover your initial investment. Diversify your pages. Maintain a stable daily budget and rotate between multiple pages to minimize disruptions. Track your finances. Use an Excel sheet to monitor expenses and revenue during the initial phase. Embrace challenges. Running paid ads involves countless daily hurdles. Stay calm, research solutions online, and consult experienced peers when necessary. I hope this article provides you with useful insights. Wishing you success on your journey! For newcomers, don’t be lured into paying fees to do affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing, at its core, is like being a sales collaborator. The difference is that it's 100% automated. However, if you lack marketing channels for your affiliate link or fail to create trustworthy content, no one will click your link, let alone make a purchase through it. Here are some step-by-step tips from my personal experience as a solo female affiliate marketer with no team. How to Start Affiliate Marketing? Step 1: Choose a Niche That’s Easy for Affiliate Marketing Pick a niche you are knowledgeable about, typically falling into one of these three evergreen categories: Money Health Relationships These are consistently profitable niches for online earning. Step 2: Find Suitable Affiliate Programs Search affiliate networks for programs that align with your niche. Check the commission structure and ease of promotion before committing. Step 3: Create a Complete Plan Keyword Research: Find relevant keywords for your niche. The goal is to rank your blog on Google, which will drive traffic and generate clicks on your affiliate link. Content Drafting: Outline your blog posts and set a timeline for completion. Community Engagement: Identify related groups on social media. Once your post is ready, share the key points in these groups along with visuals. This builds your personal Facebook following and drives traffic to your blog while waiting for it to rank. Social Media Planning: Develop a content strategy for other platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. In my experience, YouTube is particularly effective for affiliate conversions and can also benefit from keyword SEO. For example, my affiliate marketing guide video performs well due to its optimized SEO. Step 4: Take Action Create a simple WordPress website with a custom domain—it’s not difficult! If you need help, I can share a step-by-step video guide. Set up social media channels to drive affiliate traffic. Complete your profiles with trustworthy information. Build marketing funnels that offer free value, such as online resources, video series, or eBooks (e.g., I bypass copyright by carefully creating my own content). Embed affiliate links in these funnels. This approach generates significant traffic because people are eager to download free materials. Learn and adapt as you go. Publish content consistently. During the first few months, actively engage in group seeding to quickly drive traffic and earn affiliate commissions. Remember: Content is king! Invest in creating high-converting content. If your content is poorly written, people won’t click your affiliate link—or even if they do, they won’t make a purchase. Advice for Affiliate Marketers If you’re looking for quick results, affiliate marketing—or any online business—isn’t the place for it. Generating income requires potential customers to regularly visit your channels (in other words, you need traffic). Work smart to save time. For instance: Turn blog content into Facebook posts. Use the same content for YouTube scripts. Repurpose blog posts into downloadable resources for marketing funnels. With this approach, you can accomplish a lot, even as a solo operator. My Affiliate Marketing Results For me, affiliate income is supplemental. My primary business benefits from the traffic I generate, making affiliate marketing a profitable addition. On average, I earn around 50-150 million VND per month from multiple affiliate channels. I select programs with high commissions to justify the effort—those offering 5,000-15,000 VND per order don’t feel worth it. I work with both affiliate networks and individual brand programs. I choose options that suit my niche, offer high-quality products, and provide good commissions. A Final Note I hope my experiences help guide you toward a more focused and effective affiliate marketing journey. Don’t waste your money on unnecessary fees that don’t yield results. Hello everyone! Today, I’d like to share how I successfully distribute Shopee affiliate links to earn around $400/month. This is a story from a year ago, and to this day, it continues to work effectively. Feel free to take notes and adapt these tips. Getting Started with Shopee Affiliate Marketing Over a year ago, while I was on maternity leave and looking for a way to earn extra income in my free time, I came across Shopee Affiliate Marketing. At first, I registered directly with Shopee’s e-commerce platform, but their approval process was quite stringent. I later discovered several affiliate networks that offer Shopee campaigns, where you can start right away without waiting for account approval (you can easily find these options on Google). After researching the pros and cons of different networks, I chose Dinos to run Shopee campaigns. Dinos stands out with its large pool of publishers, competitive commission rates, and excellent order tracking accuracy. I’ve experienced fewer issues with missing orders on Dinos compared to other networks. How to Earn with Shopee Affiliate Links The essence of Shopee affiliate marketing is getting people to click on your affiliate links. Whether they purchase anything or not doesn’t matter – as long as they buy something, you’ll earn a commission. Below are some free and effective strategies I’ve used to maximize earnings: 1. Build a Website for Product Reviews Today’s shoppers often browse websites to research products before buying. Create a blog or website featuring content such as: Discount codes Product reviews Shopping guides Tips on selecting the best products Include affiliate links in your articles to direct users to Shopee. Building and optimizing a website requires time and effort, but the results are sustainable. Once your site generates consistent organic traffic, you’ll enjoy stable conversion rates and commissions. 2. Create Facebook Groups and Pages Build a group or page around popular topics, such as discount codes or areas of interest. Remember, your goal is to get clicks on your affiliate links. It doesn’t matter what they purchase because every transaction earns you a commission. Focus on creating engaging groups with high member interaction rather than just promoting discounts. 3. Share Links in Facebook Comments This method is quick and surprisingly effective: Post Shopee links in active comment sections on pages belonging to celebrities, influencers, or communities with high engagement. Target trending or controversial topics to attract attention, as they often generate heavy traffic in the comments. Tips for success: Avoid excessive spamming. Instead, craft comments relevant to the post’s subject to naturally include your affiliate link. Engage in discussions to provoke responses to your comment, increasing its visibility. Stay away from violating Facebook’s community standards, such as sharing links in gambling or adult groups, which may violate Shopee’s policies and risk account suspension. 4. Build a TikTok Channel with Viral Content TikTok is a trending platform with massive user engagement, making it a goldmine for affiliate marketing. You can: Re-upload or create original, engaging videos to attract viewers. Include your affiliate link in the bio section of your profile. When viewers are intrigued by your content, they’re likely to visit your profile and click the link in your bio, driving affiliate traffic. My Experience After a Year of Shopee Affiliate Marketing with Dinos What I like about Dinos: Higher commissions: Compared to other networks, Dinos offers competitive rates. Stable system: Orders rarely go missing. Dashboard transparency: The statistics are user-friendly, showing total clicks, conversion rates, and commissions for successful orders. What I dislike: The dashboard doesn’t show which specific URLs drive conversions, making optimization a bit challenging. Here’s a snapshot of the commissions I’ve earned through Shopee affiliate campaigns on Dinos: Compared to other platforms like Tiki or Lazada, Shopee offers relatively lower commission rates, but its high order volume makes up for it. Earning money through Shopee affiliate marketing isn’t as difficult as you might think. Anyone can do it! Consider the strategies above, choose your path, and start earning those commissions!
