Kennysplash Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 We all have different hubbies that we love to do at our leisure time. Personally I am a bookworm, so I will always choose to read over movies. Movies just bore me. How about you, between reading and watching a movie which one do you prefer? Quote

I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't read a book in like 4 months already. For some reason, I don't mange to find the time to do it and the pile of books near the bed started to grow heavily because I still like to buy them yet don't read them. Quote
LucasMT Posted November 6, 2023 Report Posted November 6, 2023 I would much rather watch a movie its faster I get the visuals to. 1 Quote
Rahul verma Posted December 29, 2023 Report Posted December 29, 2023 Books allow your mind to be creative. Furthermore, books are much more detailed than films. Usually a film lasts approximately two hours while in a book there can be hundreds (maybe thousands) of pages of description. Quote jobs hiring near me | hr generalist
jackworner999 Posted April 13, 2024 Report Posted April 13, 2024 (edited) For me, it really depends on the story. There are times when I crave the visual spectacle and emotional impact that a well-made movie in soap 2 day can deliver. It's like being transported to another world for a couple of hours, you know? But then there are moments when nothing beats the intimacy and depth of getting lost in the pages of a book. The ability to imagine the characters and settings in my own unique way adds a layer of personal connection that I find incredibly fulfilling. Edited April 15, 2024 by jackworner999 Quote
Tacossolle Posted April 30, 2024 Report Posted April 30, 2024 Think it depends on my mood. When I read a book I'm teleportating to another world of my imagination, it's much better than watching a movie. But still when I'm tired and just want to lay on the comfortable sofa and watch a tv. 1 Quote
Whitonwo Posted May 3, 2024 Report Posted May 3, 2024 (edited) There's something magical about getting lost in a book and letting your imagination run wild. But hey, sometimes a cozy sofa and a good movie can be just what you need to unwind after a long day. It's all about finding the right balance between books and movies to suit your mood! I agree, and you get the details straight from the author's mind, while in a movie, things are changed by the scenarist' own view by adding/removing things or changing the details according to their vision. Textulane Posted May 28, 2024 Report Posted May 28, 2024 I saw this topic and had to jump in. Personally, I'm all about movies. There's something special about seeing a story come to life on screen, ya know? 📽️ Plus, after a long day, it's so much easier to kick back and watch a flick rather than dive into a book. Quote
nulsbrawldl Posted Saturday at 06:15 AM Report Posted Saturday at 06:15 AM Hello, It’s interesting how our hobbies can vary! Personally, I enjoy a good balance between both. Reading offers a chance to dive deep into a character’s thoughts and worlds that your imagination brings to life, while movies provide a more visual and dynamic storytelling experience. If I had to choose, I’d lean toward reading for the depth and detail it offers. How about you—do you ever mix things up, or is it always books over movies or games? Thanks Quote
